The ESTP presents its publication award 2011 and 500 EUR* prize to
Dr. Aswin L. Menke
Dr. Menke wins the award for his publication entitled "Normal anatomy and histology of the adult zebrafish" (1). In his work Dr. Menke has characterized the normal anatomy and histology of the zebrafish with high quality subgross and histological pictures illustrating all major structures found in zebrafish. The pictures were accompanied by a clear and concise description with references to standard texts about fish pathology.
This publication summarises in a concise manner the salient features of Zebrafish anatomy and histology and should be immensely useful for pathologists starting to work with this fish model in either research or toxicological pathology.
